Yeah, I am. It's just that life gets in the way sometimes and that's really ffing difficult.

December is so hectic already and now there's one more thing I have to plan to do every week. And three times too!

    Gym wins this week:
    - I went three times even though it was difficult to plan
    - one of the exercises I always do with my PT was increases in weight by 2 kg (from 6 to 8kg)
    - I added almost 20 second to my plank :D
    - Since the first time I was weighed at the gym I lost around 6% of my starting bodyweight :D (The first weight was recorded at the end of August, but I didn't start getting serious until the beginning of October)

Who else had exercise wins this week? :D

Disappointed to find I can't budge a 50-kilo dumbbell off the ground at all. Oh well, one day.

Okay my favorite thing about the local gym i joined is when you log in the website gives you a live counter of how many people are in the gym so i can make sure I only go when there's few enough people that I won't have to be directly next to anyone

Going back to bodypump after like 4 weeks off, hoping I haven't lost all my strength over Christmas. I've been going to the gym just not the classes and they're way more intense. But hey, instructor has great taste in music and he's super encouraging

We started a really difficult routine in dance class today, and I'm still not keeping up perfectly but it brought home to me exactly how much I've improved. I couldn't have come close to keeping up a year ago, and now I'm almost there! It'll be easier once I've lost a little weight as I bulge in inconvenient places, but that's the project for this year.

Did pretty amazingly at the gym today too, I am on FIRE this week :toot: Except I tried barbell squats for the first time and it hurts my arms like heck because that's not a position I'd normally put them in. Ow. Asked the trainer to remind me to do a small number of those with a low weight every week from now on till I get the hang of it.

Welp, guess I won't be going to the gym for a while with the plague upon us. Luckily I have a convenient 4km walk I can do (walking back from where I keep my horses) so ima try and do that as many days as possible to keep in shape

Went on my first real bike ride since breaking my toe. I had gone on a shorter test ride a few days back. This was the first proper one. It is...rough. But we can still go a nice distance at a nice pace and keep said pace up consistently without pause. Because I commute by bike and bus most of my focus with getting better at biking is distance focused...

Also making sure to do at least jumping jacks, squats, or pushups every day. If I am not doing full routines of things. It is a struggle to keep active now but I will keep at it. It might even be easier honestly since now my biking doesn't have to be a daily commute thing due to working from home. During the quarters I'm typically busy at the campus and too worried about wearing myself out before my bike ride home to do exercise besides the biking...Now that I'm home though and the biking isn't a requirement I can manage both the cardio and strength stuff just fine. Theoretically speaking.

I'm finally not sick at all any more, but my energy level is trashed. I bolted my wife's TRX strap thingy to the wall and that left me winded. Starting at the bottom of the hill again...

Rode my motorcycle to work yesterday and today. It doesn't seem like it should be, but it's more exercise than I've gotten since I got sick in March.

I've been trying to walk more to fix my back but it isn't working. Can walking around with bad posture make back problems worse? Better switch it for stretching for a few days and see if that helps.

Okay so I have purchased one of those door chin up bars that you can put at any height on the door frame by expanding them, and I really love using it!

But I thought that lifting myself with my arms from flat on my back to nose almost touching the bar was the right way to start, and even that gave me some godawful shoulder flare ups! Does anyone have any advice for using these things as a) a beginner or a b) a hypermobile?
