It really would have. I wish there had been more female trolls in general dang it.

Like I really love the show, but damn. There really was lacking in lady characters.

 

i wasnt much of a fan of how blatantly obvious it was they were using recolored models for the various townsfolk. in the final battle they even used a goblin model for a troll! and he had speaking lines! wtf the fuck!

sometimes they didn't even recolor them, and put them side by side [see: draal and jim's fight]

 

Yyyyyeah. This is a show budget, compared to a movie. But that was pretty dang lazy. :T

 

with dreamworks and del toro making it? i doubt that, tbh. those two are name brand sorts of moneyholders. the httyd show was better quality from what i saw, as a comparison.

dreamworks put effort into putting leopard spots on toothless, which is practically invisible unless you're watching in HD, i feel like they could have at least added some extra horns to the characters they're copy/pasting.

 

Yeah, but the HTTYD show already had a fanbase, due to having the movies come out first. This is an entirely new property, which generally means slightly less budget.

Absolutely still lazy as hell on their part though, not even going to lie.

i'll tag some peeps next time i stream, we ended after watching episode 11, which is kind of around the halfway point of the season!

 

oh, speaking of watching the season again

last night i streamed the first arc of season 1 for some close friends [unfortunately the gf [tm] has too unstable of an internet connection to watch streams, hence my giving her a link to watch in her free time instead]

and basically theyre all over it; or one is. the other one has insomnia and ended up finally falling asleep but it was halfway thru the watch
