my mom commeted how its kinda nostalgic to have sheet music left on the couch randomly, i haven't doe this kinda thing in three years :P

 

This is all making me wish I had a keyboard or maybe violin, parsing sheet music is like swimming in molasses for me if I don't have an instrument and I really want to just mess around trying to plunk out some undertale songs as well as nailing down this similarity thing. Just spent like 5 minutes transcribing 5 measures into letters I understand : P

 

i can deal if i have the audio file to follow along with but then i can read G clef, and more slowly F clef and C clef and have learned reading sheet music from second grade onwards. i'm also very out of practice though.

Another one that I didn't catch and someone else pointed out to me.... True pacifist ending, when you die but refuse to? It starts the death animation, where your heart breaks. And then the pieces go back together. You re-fuse.

So basically some of the people in dwrp that I play Papyrus with just alerted me to at least two great reasons to think that Papyrus needs reading glasses. I've been having him use his phone without problems, but who knows what size he's expanded the font to. Gosh. I love this.

So I had a bad case of hype backlash and was going "ugh im so sick of hearing about Undertale" but then a friend got me the game and omg i love it and totally see what all the hype is for. I'm currently trying to get past the last genocide boss 75% because that music and 25% because determination.

Alphys hit me in a personal spot. During my neutral run I thought she was adorable but not much past that. But oh man the True Lab. Making a big mistake and trying to hide it because you're afraid everyone will hate you? Getting anxious and depressed and ignoring communications because of the thing? I don't often find characters that make me go "it's me!"

By Tumblr Law this means its now ableism to tell me that I'm not actually a small dinosaur. That's how this works right?

I really hope we learn more about Gaster someday.

You know about the end of a genocide game, right? What happens to your save file?

 

Yeah, i spoiled myself on everything when I got stuck on Undyne. On a completely and totally unrelated note *butterscotch pies fall out of pockets*, thanks for that hax guide!

 

I got the game as a Christmas present. Played a couple hours of it, then spoiled the rest of it for myself by watching videos. Oh well.

Decided to start speedrunning this game. Going to start with doing the pacifist ending, a category called TPE by runners. Did a couple of practice runs of bits of the game before actually doing one full run because we need to do a full one at some point. Can't be too perfectionist. Got 2:31:01. The world record for TPE is 1:47:50 so there is obviously a lot of time to be saved! Metric fuck tons of time. Still you have to start somewhere.
