I just got done a two-day grindathon to get my Int. and Faith high enough to use the Greatsword of Artorias in Dark Souls! ...Only to realize that it still doesn't hit as hard as my trusty maxed-out claymore. And that I'd probably be 1HKO-ing things left and right if I'd just put those points in strength. LMFAO.
Beat Artorias! Then I beat the SUPER DUPER SWOLE AS FUCK EXTRA BOSS by standing outside the arena and picking off 20 hp at a time with carefully aimed arrows. I am the queen of queso.
Ive been playing Fallout New Vegas a hell of alot lately with a few different character builds that i either couldnt actualy feasably play with or were accidentaly corrupted by weird loading screen freezeys, currently got a level 32?ish character with an emphasis on unarmed combat, using the unique power fist greased lightning and wearing the enclave power armor, shes got a decent explosives skill so that makes things shiny ;) but really this character is good for frustratingly beating down on everything in your path that ISNT a pack of deathclaws cos they cut through me like cheese.....paper
Video Game Nerds/kintusgijin: I am going to be streaming at 8PM Eastern tonight. (That's in 3 hours.) My steam is twitch.tv/adigitalmagician I'll be finishing Bastion New Game+ (Escape Ending). Come hang out while I make a fool of myself, also, help me pick my next marathon game!
So it turns out my problems watching the video on my tower is because youtube unblocker was dicking around, it works just fine on my tablet, so here it is: the first installment of Kite plays .hack//Infection Stuff I want to LP once I'm finished / temporarily bored with Infection: the rest of the .hack series HIVESWAP Child of Light the entire Legend of Zelda series Arcanum, maybe?
I grabbed Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate for my 3DS the other day.. I haven't gotten too far with it though. Plus I put Tomodachi Life back in my 3DS so that's been my grab-and-play game of choice since it's just In There. Oh lord I loved those .hack games years ago. Then in trying to replay them I realized how much of a god damn repetitive grind it is. I've considered doing LPs in the past but.. so many already exist. I'd probably end up doing a silent play through since I don't have a mic of my own + hate talking when other people are in the room with me, and I feel weird to do it when chances are anything I want to play already has a silent LP of it on Youtube.
holy crumbcake my brother is playing infamous:second son and the movie sequences are SO PRETTY. i walked by and legit asked him what movie that was. the actual gameplay graphics are really nice as well, and the plot is really cool from the little i've seen.
I saw that some people here play FF14 or used to? I've started playing it because people I used to know from WoW have moved there. Enjoying the change; I had missed playing a MMO but am so impossibly burned out on WoW these days.
I was playing FF14 and will likely pick it back up again in the future.. I just currently can't afford the expansion so I'm unsubbed. It's a really great game and yeah a ton of people who played WoW moved there. I quit WoW a couple of years ago but almost all of the people I know who were playing WoW hopped over the FF14 around the expansion dropping.
It's enough like WoW to give me the same fix, and enough different to be a change. I am just jonesing for a DPS meter, but I think socially that's probably best not there, so that people aren't constantly measuring their e-dicks.
There are technically DPS meter mods for FF14 but since officially mods aren't allowed they rely on outside programs.. but I don't think knowledge and thus use of them are really widespread outside of people within static raid groups doing the most current content.
I do think the lack of them makes people less annoyingly competitive, though, so that's probably overall a good thing. I've not seen any sniping about 'SOMEONE not pulling their weight' or similar.
*quietly mumbles something about how they play RIFT and would sure like to adventure with more people on there*
Ooo. That is good impetus for picking it back up. I will have to try it, when I'm not perseverating so hard on Minecraft. :D
If anyone wants to look me up, I'm on the NA cluster, Faeblight shard. My main is Merkurius, and although they're max level and my four alts are high level, the system there allows for players to artificially decrease their level (or increase it to the level of a high-level party member/max level for the zone) so people with discrepant levels can adventure together.
my best friend has dragged me kicking and screaming (not really) into league of legends hell, which for a pvp game has a suprisingly non-assholish community? (i've only played against bots, though, so that may have something to do with it) anyway, if anyone plays that hmu & we can be lol friends! i've been meaning to get into rift but. ugh. free time, what is it? it's gonna happen one day. also i've been replaying the entire halo series with my dad, it's so much fun *-*
I loved my character in FF14 and miss her lot. Got kind of burned out on the actual gameplay, and guild drama made me quit, and I don't really have subscription money right now... but I really miss my character.
