Yeah, and honestly by the end I was sticking around mostly for the friends, and when their play died off so did a lot of my interest in continuing. Only one of them is still playing because she raids at a pretty high level, but otherwise it's a wasteland. They really fucked up on this expansion.

I might just hold out until the next expansion or something then, depending on what it is. Maybe it'll be more fun, and I'll just get to quest through this current expansion which is all I'd really care about anyway (WoW questing is weirdly stimmy for me. I think that's a part of why I sometimes want to get back into it so much.)

I do kind of miss my characters and being them, y'know? And all the carefully constructed transmog sets and matching mounts and pets and ...

Yeah, I mean, when you play a game for a long time there ends up just being so much stuff to get attached to, even if it's not 'real' stuff.

I never RPd in that game but I still had characters and headcanons and stuff and it was kind of sad to just toss that away. And of course the transmog sets and all that too.

Yeah, I had stories and personalities and histories for all my characters and their journeys. And lots of unfinished business, stuff I never got, reps I never maxed.

And I did at one point actually buy an expensive TCG unique mount; the rideable chicken, just so I could make jokes about riding a giant cock around town.

I always wanted that one, just because it looked so silly, especially with larger races riding it.

My main was a female troll, so not the largest and not the smallest but among the tallest.

I had a ton of alts so. My main was pandaren but went through a ton of race changes.

    Games I am currently playing
I am kinda on and off playing minecraft all the time but thats about it
    MySims Wii

    Games I'd like
    Yoshi's Wooly World
    Kirby's Epic Yarn
    Animal Crossing New Leaf

    Things I need to finish
    Super Paper Mario
    Probably others

Oh! I also recently started playing MySims again, and I found a feature that might be nice for any people on here who don't necessarily identify with one gender.
When you start character creation in MySims, it does not ask you for a gender. You can pick any eyes, mouth, clothes, hairstyle, name, and even customize your voice.
There are so many options, and since everyone just referes to you by name, there are never pronouns thrown around.
It is a build your town kinda thing, basically animal crossing with people instead of animals, and you do favours for people by building them houses and furniture.

There are also feminine hairstyles and masculine clothes but I ran out of space on my ipad to take pictures...

@Aniseed: I had nine level 90s at the end of Pandaria ... but only bothered getting one of them to 100, it was so tedious.

@Morven I actually.. didn't level too many characters to 90. I think I have 4, but it literally took me the whole expansion. Meanwhile in Cata I levelled -so many- god damn alts. That was a very alt friendly expansion though..

@Imoyram The MySims games are really cute! I haven't played one since the DS version though. Animal Crossing is a bit more my style but uhh I haven't actually checked up on my town innnn... a year or so. I already know all my favorite neighbors have gone and left and I'll load it up to a bunch of random animals I don't care for. :(

Well I resubbed to FF14 and grabbed Heavensward Collector's Edition for myself. Decided to use the fantasia vial that comes with it to recustomize my main, and of course spent about 6 hours with the character creation screen open agonizing over whether I wanted to just change up my hyur highlander's facial features/skintone or race swap to miqo'te.

being unable to be 6 foot tall + lacking a muscle slider on cat people lost me so instead my highlander is a little bit tanner and has different eye shape + color(s). Going to stop playing MNK though and instead level up SMN/SCH since that DPS rotation is a lot easier on my poor focus and poor fingers.

This is my FF14 character; I tend to play giant amazons if I can, and at 7'6" or so I think that counts :D Currently leveling Bard (level 52 right now). This is just the Bard level 50 outfit as a temporary glamor on ugly clothes until I find something I really like, a bit more combat-looking than the rock-star bard look.

I love the roegadyns. I like playing bigger characters too, though I went for Highlander Hyur, their max height is 6ft or so. (this is mine, armor is probably ugly right now because i'm FATE leveling SMN/SCH up to level as in HW content.)

First character I ever tried in WoW was a gnome. I noped out of there SO FAST and played a female troll instead; they're over 7 ft easily. So I got way used to being tall in-game. I like that Hyur and Roegadyn have muscle definition sliders on the women, and in general can look tough enough to be fighters while they don't have to be ugly.

Oh, @Aniseed , I followed your profile on Lodestone if that's OK, feel free to say no if it ain't because the last thing I want to do is make you uncomfortable.

@Morven That's fine! Idk what it does anyway tbh, I haven't messed around on Lodestone much at all other than to look at FC rosters.

It mostly is so I can remember which is your character, and I think some activity streams on there will now show me accomplishments. Not much, really.

Honestly I could play with the character creator all day. I have a couple alts but don't play them; mostly there to grab names or play with looks.

I am so lucky to have a younger brother with the same tastes in video games as me because guess who has splatoon in the house now? ME (and I love it)

Decided that I want to try speedrunning Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness because I lack fine taste and it is a game I can just play many times in a row because I lack fine taste. That and I've already been in the realm of pointless perfectionism with the game before and get to the point where I can just say fuck it to moving the camera just jump we know where things are.

So far with saves and multiple fuck ups I've made it a little over halfway through the game as Cornell in an hour and twenty minutes or so. I'll tack on like another twenty minutes to account for lack lag in the emulator. Which is completely awful but it does say something and that something is that this is probably more than doable to learn how to run. Because again that is about half way through and many runs of it entirely go for like an hour and twenty minutes from what I can see? The fastest I've found was like an hour and nine minutes or some crazy shit.

I've also managed some of the things I've seen before just in normal play? Like one cycling the leviathan or curb stomping the bone dragons with holy water. So definitely doable. It will just take learning and lots of practice! That and I need to get my shit back from my little brother. On top of needing the lag playing this game on anything but an N64 controller is kind of ass? The button layout is very much meant for that controller with its c buttons. Well that and differences in stick sensitivity. Like assuming this game ever made it in a gamecube port I cannot imagine playing it with that controller not just because of the buttons but because that stick just goes all over the fucking place compared to the N64 one.
