Spoiler: Ep 60 spoipers

Maaan they shoulda gone with Lightbringer.

It's appropriate on so many levels! I mean, first of all, literally. Then there's the Promethian aspect of stealing fire from the gods and divine punishment for hubris, and additionally this sweet-sounding, hopeful name which is also the English translation of Lucifer.

... of course, Star-Blaster's also pretty apropos, given who's playing the game.

Missed an opportunity for a bad pun by not calling it Plane Sailing, with extra added irony.

 

So, two things:
1. Lup and Taako best mischief twins.
2. Did anyone else come out of TTAZZ feeling kinda... bad? Like, Griffin talked about changing some of his plans for Lup and he didn't sound happy about it. It sounded more like "Well, I guess I gotta address this." I may be jumping at shadows but I'm kinda fretful that in their desire to listen to everyone the guys might end up letting "perfect" overtake "good." Or just not be able to distinguish legit inclusivity advice from concern troll bullying.

I can't believe Taako is the quiet twin

 

Cassidy is my favorite NPC.

 

That in particular is my favorite Cassidy.

"We see inside of Lucretia’s office, specifically, the portrait. And wearing these uniforms of red are seven people. There’s an elven woman who looks so much like you, Taako, and she has her arm around Barry and they’re both smiling. And Taako, you’re just like, front and center frame and you’re cheesing it for this picture. And Merle, you and Davenport are standing side-by-side and you’ve got your shirt sleeves rolled up and you’re laughing and just like flexing and striking a pose. And Magnus, you’re just kinda standing behind them and smiling and waving kind of goofy. And in the middle of this– this crew, with the same cautious smile you’ve seen hanging over her office for a year now is Lucretia and she’s holding her journals. And she’s surrounded by friends. And if you were in that office, still, you could see it all now. You could see the seven of you celebrating a rare moment of peace and happiness during your harrowing journey. And it’s time to remember this moment now, and all of the others that brought you to where you are today. It’s time to reclaim your stolen century."

 

Spoiler: 61

I love the morality conflict between Lup and Taako in this ep, especially when Magnus "my picture is next to Lawful Good in the dictionary and I'm a golden retriever" Burnsides threw behind Taako. Also I don't necessarily believe that Taako MEANT it when he made that promise so quickly at the end of the ep; it felt to me like a pragmatic "I don't want to argue about this and I lie all the time anyway" decision, not a genuine change of heart.

I'm a little sorry that so much of the story is being glossed over so quickly, but I don't know how the heck else Griffin could tell it. They need to cover 100 years fast. I just want all the character interaction between the boys and the NPCs.

ALSO....LULU....GOD. thats so cute. i now deeply relate to how much barry likes her.

oh my sweet god its troth. i do not mind griffin saying it straight up at all bc i feel like this was something that was supposed to be found out but no one took the bait. this just makes me wonder what really, truly happened. GRIFFY WHAT DID YOU HAVE PLANNED.
