I am still way back on ep...19? But having a good time and all that.

I will say having only started listening after seeing tons of fanart, I have a question. I know the 3 main guys have no real "official" look, but most of the NPCs seem fairly consistent? Is that just a nature of what headcanon is most popular? Or are they based off the people they're named after or something?

 

There are a very few descriptions, from what I remember, but they are pretty basic. I think a lot of it is just fandom osmosis + popular artists inspiring others.

 

Griffin generally keeps his NPC descriptions vague, to the degree that literally only one character has a canonical skin tone and he has, on occasion, outright refused to describe someone's appearance.

Also one guy looks like Tom Arnold and there's a city of Tom Bodetts.

Basically it's all the interconnected fandom hive mind.

guess who got into taz. guess who cried like a bitch during the finale. guess who is glad they got past their reservations to listen to this podcast. GUESS.

Real talk tho, i had a lot of reservations of getting into taz. i never listened to podcasts before, and from what i saw of the fandom and how they acted i was just like nah fuck this noise! but i saw reactions to it on my dashboard, genuine reactions of happiness and sadness and i was like huh. how could the mcelroy brothers of all people manage to do THAT. the people who did car boys and monster factory. How do these guys manage to get all these people invested in a podcast??

it was way different than i expected it to be. it took me a bit to get into it because podcasts are hard for me to focus on on the computer since i gotta watch this random video on my dashboard RIGHT NOW GUYS. so i put the episodes on my ipod and listened to them while i was at work. i could listen while i cleaned or whatever without running the risk of getting distracted by checking youtube or something.

glad i did. it was an amazing experience. i had a blast, more than i thought i would. i grew so attached to our boys, i was genuinely surprised.

all in all, good time. great time. sad it took me a lil bit to get into it, but not too long.

also, to the surprise of no one, im a filthy shipper and i gotta read all the fics. im a taako/kravitz slut and also a taako/magnus slut for some reason. rip me!

Hey, I don't even have a profile pic yet and this is my first reply on a thread that I didn't make but here we go.

I was a little late catching up to TAZ but a lot of my friends were into it so I kept seeing fanart and random discussion and stuff which gave me a very disjointed view of future arcs. Just today did I listen to the Camp Goodfriend bonus ep which cleared up a few things for me

I initially thought that the Suffering Game arc was happening in a camp setting. Then I thought the camp was an AU for a bit. Then when Camp Camp became a popular thing I kinda mentally combined all three. It was nasty. Today has been eye-opening.
