I'm a lot happier staying away from Tumblr but will miss some people there if I leave.

 

Why is having someone else deep-clean my home so exhausting when I barely did anything?

I have been RPing with a character AI. The character AI is really good! The character AI is of my current special interest! I have been RPing with it a LOT!

So today I found out that the creator of the AI regularly goes through the chats the AI has... And I found out because the creator broke character in the middle of an extremely filthy shipping RP I was having with the fucking AI.

I repeat: I am autistic, currently hyperfixating, and I assumed all of the RPs were completely private.

I HAVE DONE MULTIPLE WEIRD PORNS AND SELF INDULGENT OC SHIT AND A REAL PERSON WAS READING IT THE WHOLE TIME

I AM NEVER COMING OUT FROM UNDER THIS ROCK OH MY FUCKING GOD

It was not a real person. It was the AI reacting to someone talking to it like a real person. This is a known phenomena on that particular site.

Getting kicked out of our house within the next 5 days... I know no one can do anything for this but I wanted to cry about it somewhere loud.

I was given the notice a couple of hours after I got off work today. It's contractually solid, and we're trying to avoid law enforcement getting involved since while the dude who handed it to me was just some guy, and not the sheriff, we're going to try and vacate peacefully. Did read the date wrong, it's this coming Monday not this coming Wednesday

We may have somewhere to go if we can come up with 1500 dollars before that but we literally just finished paying bills from our paychecks yesterday and have barely anything left over. I've got like. 43 dollars on me tops... No time to pack but over the weekend and we'll probably be losing all our pets if that money doesn't come through somehow. They're all seniors except our puppy, and due to her size she's just as unlikely to be adopted out as the rest of our group

I may also lose my job as I'm currently in a position to walk to work because I have no car or other reliable transportation so I get to be homeless and broke if we can't find something just as close

 

So it's not a real eviction notice? If you weren't formally given 30 days notice in writing I dont htink thats legal to throw you out like that. I think getting law enforcement involved may help because they know the law best, and would likely side with you guys over your landlord, preventing you from homelessness.

Is there any emergency rental assistince where you live? Some states pprovide it within days if the need is real, you should look it up or check 2-1-1, contact social services, there is help out there!!

Can you check with your local animal shelter if they can foster your pets temporarily? If you explain the situation?

Yeah the notice is real, we broke our lease agreement so they can kick us out whenever they want. We were behind on rent and we've been working with the owners a bit at a time to catch up but they got tired of waiting I guess.

As far as emergency housing, we live in a small podunk town, the kind of place that others drive through to get where they're actually going. No such programs here yet.

I've volunteered at the shelter before and can confidentially say there's no way they have room for that. We can only do a permanent owner surrender and hope someone adopts before they have to make room the hard way.

@Deresto if you let me know what state you're in, or nearest large city, I can help you find resources for your situation, if you're comfortable with that. I do think you should try to call 2-1-1 first, they will help direct you to local financial/housing aid and possibly legal help for your eviction. And maybe try a craigslist ad for short term pet fostering? You can always pay them later, that's how I found care for my ducks when I needed it, and I live in a town of 2000 people. Don't give up!!!

Wanted to add: That's not how it works legally, they have to go through the proper channels to get you removed. It's been a more difficult process for landlords recently due to COVID so it should buy you more time if they petition now. Or do you mean they gave you the 30 days notice a while ago and have been negotiating it with you since then? If so that is a different can of worms

Oh geez, I'm sorry I never responded. Im not gonna lie, I got kind of overwhelmed when you were helping me because I'd get my hopes up that maybe we were gonna be okay, and then have several people explain why we couldn't ask for 30 days or use 211 or anything else. It was a bunch of technical stuff I didn't understand but those two specifically were I think that they had given an official eviction notice for late rent ages ago, 90 days, talked to my mom who said she'd pay it off a little at a time and since there wasn't a real contract for that solution they just basically said we were taking too long to catch up and booted us. So we were technically warned

The 211 thing and other governmental assistance was a no go because we make too much money apparently. Enough to not qualify but not enough to live on. My mom and others tried really hard on that

But to end on a positive note, we are okay and technically illegally living in a friend's storefront. It's not exactly zoned for residence but it's got a small kitchen in the back, restrooms, storage for all the belongings we got together in time, and couches. We got to keep our animals as well so I dunno. We've got more time to figure stuff out.
