Since Oberon drops from Eximus mobs I actually belatedly realized today that I have all the parts for him and all I really need to do is build them. My brother is dismissive but wow is he a neat looking frame.
I levelled Oberon up early on and never really looked again. I don't even know what he does. I mostly regard oberon parts as being sort of like what the game gives you to keep credits from being the most common loot.
I think Oberon is some sort of healer-buffer thing mainly? I dunno, I play Nova Prime almost exclusively because making dudes slow way down and then asplode in clouds of other-dude-asplodin energy is way too much fun. Valkyr's fun too, but Nova Prime is just my OTF.
I fucking love Ember now. -casually strolls through a room leaving a trail death in my wake without firing a single shot- which is good cause im terrible with the penta, the blast radius is so small and I haven't found a secondary weapon I like yet (dex furis is acceptable but I don't love it)
I haven't played Warframe in so long I feel like I should just restart, because I don't remember how to play it at all.
That's what I did. And a lot had changed since I last played so I didn't recognize much. Unless you really invested a lot of money or time into your old account, why not go for it?
While waiting for some weapons to finish building, I grabbed all the MK1 weapons I didn't pick at the beginning and that might actually be a worse loadout than the Cernos/Bronco/Machete one. My only useful attacks were Oberon's slam and hit it with a shitty stick until it finally dies
... that's even worse. Sonicor is my "I will win this fight nigh-automatically" weapon. I couldn't beat the april fools alert with it, though.
So I'm partway through Natah and... Spoiler Lotus: It's my old name. It's not who I am now Teshin: -immediately calls her Natah- you're a dick Teshin also playing conversations every time you return to the ship gets really old after a while. Sometimes I'm too busy leveling shitty weapons to equip a good loadout and do the quest right now!
So I just finished making Ivara. She's so pretty omg. I really like her giant eyeball and hood. Those nicely inhuman characteristics combined with the flowing trailing bits are great. I'm going to arrow-murder all the things.
I am sad about Ivara having these large areas that cannot be colored dark. Because they add a fraction of whatever color you pick to a medium-light grey. Ugh. I am now building a Nezha. Mostly, though, I had an idea for a thing I wanted to send to my tumblr as a joke ask, but then I decided the humor was too specialized: So there's this guy I work with, and he's sort of a jerk to people. Like, we're doing this mission where we infiltrate an enemy base and cause a big ruckus, and while all their attention is on us, he's supposed to loot the place and share the loot with us. So after ten minutes of getting shot at for him, you know what he's gotten us? Not one, but two akbronco prime blueprints. Is this abuse? (Answer: "Yes.")
I really need to start trying for sorties to get Nezha...I got Mirage the other day, though, and she is amazing with the Simulor. I can make the entire map a field of death orbs.
So, hysteria finally got nerfed, which I am obliged to admit was overdue. I think the real killer was that hysteria with reasonable modding for duration could automatically win forever in the endless mode rathuum. Big recentish change: Mastery rank now serves as a minimum effective-rank for mod cap purposes. Like, if you're Mastery Rank 10, and you have a brand new weapon, it'll have 10 (or 20 if potato) mod cap, even before you rank it up. So that first mission where you have NOTHING in the weapon goes away.
Yeah, it's pretty hella. They talked about the mod cap thing forever ago, and I'm glad that they finally did it. And hey man, Hysteria was how my clan got a gold trophy in Rathuum :p But it did need its nerf, I'll agree.
