Dear total stranger, the comment section of a not-even-graphic story about an abuse/torture survivors' support group depicting genuine childhood and adulthood trauma is not a good place to ask me to write you shotacon porn. I don't write that anyway but that particular context just makes it creepy.
in the notes of an alleged time travel fix-it fic: "the time travel made the plot too low-stakes, so now this is just gonna be a canon-compliant fic with time travel!" oh so you mean a boring, frustrating story about these two guys having the same emotional conversation over and over again despite the fact that one of them has already worked through all of these things, in canon, which he remembers because of the time travel? and both of them have to have at least one hand on the idiot ball at all times to prevent the guy's knowledge of the future from impacting the plot in any way? just a total rehash of canon except this time you hate the characters because they're being complete emotionally driven idiots in an out-of-character way (as opposed to the in-character way, which you could have accessed for free)? is that what you mean, author?

Cowriters want to include a pairing which kind of squicks me out in our thing and I feel bad about telling them it squicks me out.
We had characters who were obviously supposed to be villains display anti-intersex views, and got someone throwing a multi-paragraph tantrum and threatening suicide in our reviews because apparently that means we hate intersex people.
XC3 writers keep wanting to justify using queer language recognisable to the readers and why they're saying "shit" and "fuck" instead of the silly swears they use in-game and... Sincerely, I don't care. This is so clunky. If you're not gonna bother emulating the game's very particular translation style, then don't bother and be honest about it.
Reviewer, I would agree with you that a non-rapist supervillain is better representation for the people of Mongolia than a rapist character, and I would happily include them in our megacrossover as a demonstration that we don't think all Mongolians are rapists, except for the fact that the supervillain you suggested is Chinese and as far as we know has never been to Mongolia. We also already had at least one not-villainous-at-all character of Mongolian descent.
Actually this gives me an opportunity to ask Like What is your intention with this fic series, because like all artistic expression is valid and stuff but why are Wallace and grommet and flushed away here? Why is... why is Kuzco forced into survival sex work? Like Is it kink? That's valid. Is it trauma exploration? Also valid. For shits and giggles? Valid. But just Why tho
Group has a reviewer who keeps leaving really passive-aggressive-sounding reviews, like "I would have thought you'd do XYZ differently". Not sure whether to tell them that's how they're coming across but it's getting very annoying.

Ah yes the perpetual issue of characters existing as their pre-development self because That Is The Trope (or existing exclusively as their post-development self because they're a flavour container of some sort) (either way character development not real)
Hilariously, the example that brought me here today doesn't even involve any character development, just subverted expectations. About a character you only ever see through prescription-strength unreliable narrator lenses, so in a sense the iffy characterization is taken straight from canon, just… from the wrong layer of the narrative.
Mongoliaboo is back and ranting about how horrible we are to Central Asians, because we included exactly one villain from a country which isn't even IN Central Asia. (And yes, we went out of our way to include good characters from all nations, including West/Central/East Asian ones.) I know I shouldn't converse with the troll but I want so badly to know what the hell is going on inside his head.
bad omegaverse fic... why did I stay up till 3 reading this, it was Not worth it I hate when omegaverse fics try to make it a platonic thing that's all about pack bonds but then also leave in all the stuff about heats et cetera. like yeah in this world half the population goes into one or the other kind of sex frenzy on a regular basis, but don't worry! you can also work it out by cuddling with your dad I guess apparently!
I keep clicking on sibling incest fanfics expecting some juicy content about the incestuous elephant in the room, only to be disappointed to find the fanfic is either tiptoeing around the subject or flat-out ignoring it, and I'll be lucky to even get a throwaway reference acknowledging it like, I get that some people can just be in the pairing for the characters' dynamic or w/e, but I want the Conflict and/or the Kink, dammit ):
