Current peeve: Nobody in SVSSS is this emotionally mature. Like I think its inherent to the setting that nobody has ever performed a "grounding exercise". The top three coping mechanisms are Killing, Dying, or Sex (both participating in it or writing about it). If anyone were capable of expressing their emotions or processing their trauma in a healthy manner the entire novel would not exist.
Anything in SVSSS called a "grounding exercise" would be some bullshit Airplane made up in two seconds to facilitate porn because he needed something that sounded vaguely cultivation-y and couldn't be assed to keep his worldbuilding straight.
I wanted to make a joke in the original post about how Liu Qingge thinks a 'grounding exercise' is 'smacking disciples out of the air with his sword' but it just kinda felt shoehorned in when I tried
