shes supposed to be the replacement design of my OC's pet, so i made her a fatty, spoilt painted nurse. Would have gotten dwarf but that's esspensive.

So I know adoptables and arpgs go hand in hand. Been considering doing one based on riding dinosaurs because I fucking love that shit and would find it ridiculously fun.

I dunno if anyone else would be interested, but I'd be willing to offer up discussing stuff with people for ideas and collaboration on such a thing.

They're pretty fun! I think I would also have the option to allow people to do writing only entries for challenges and stuff, so it wouldn't be limited to JUST artists. Although they may have to find someone to help design their critters when the time comes around.

They look like a lot of fun, I'd probably have maybe two species to start with, with a few starter genes and add more as i go! They are genetics based, and tends to be pretty fun to see how you can breed the critters to get what you want.

 

I suck so much at punnett squares i just look at those types of adopts and go "yeah that sure looks like a thing"

i imagine the idea going wild and becoming some chimeric offspring of jurassic park and ark survival evolved

That would be kind of hilarious and fun! I'd want slightly more anatomically correct dinosaurs though, I want me some feathered beasties!!!!!

 

Augh I wish I could properly get an interest in trading/selling my adopts, but I have no audience in which to yell "hey do you want designs at prices I didnt fukken buy the things for"

also the snaptrap. :( I wanna trade it for something I can click with better, because I love the little fuck, I'm just "???" at colors/design.

have you tried submitting your journal into groups for trading/selling? those are helpful for finding an audience for trading/selling!

 

Iiiii vaguely attempted Shutyertrap for the snaptrap, but I never made a journal for adopts? Could try.

What kind of groups would you suggest I submit to?

 

There's so many, usually i go into the groups tab and search "adoptable" and see what pops up! i join and leave them as they get active and go inactive

pretty much make a journal, list the guys up for sale, and find a few active groups and submit. i can search for some, but I don't do a whole lot of closed species adopts right now

 

Most of the things I'm selling aren't closed-species, lol. They're all custom one-offs. The only CS I'd sell is the Mip, and mostly I wanna just trade snap for trap out of not being able to sync with it well. Blargh. 8(
