I got to go to the slightly more expensive grocery store this week, and now i have dried peaches. Dried peaches are my third favorite food. nom
I've managed to teach my autocorrect "smol" almost as quickly as "fucking." Less than a week apart, more than a year with this phone.
Those are both delish, and I wholly agree re: Milanos. They're delicious, but I always need something to wash them down with!
For best results, get dark chocolate ones and a hot cup of tea with cream and sugar, dip the cookies in the tea.
Also I'm finally watching Uno: The Movie and I'm less than 15 minutes into it and already can't stop smiling
While I can't watch the new SU episode until later, it does remind me of a YouTube series I enjoy that just started: WHO THE HELL?? Wherein we receive an explanation of WHO THE HELL?? someone is. In this case, Starboy Bellyjewel! He's also done them for Beefcake McSpunkyhair (Zarya from Overwatch) and Captain Weebo Myfirstanime (Naruto). They're an evolution a bit from Desert Bus where he named the Magic the Gathering Planeswalkers without knowing much about them, most notably Zippo-Tricks McEdgelord (Chandra).
I did Serious Adult Things today and I'm tired. I have declared the evening cancelled. I have retreated to a blanket nest with my dogs and I'm catching up on pro League of Legends games and eating delicious pulled pork mac and cheese. Extreme comfort.
Now that I have a phone that can handle it, I picked up a cheapish VR headset at Target last night. I just downloaded Discovery VR and watched a bunch of Puppy Bowl videos in glorious puppy-perspective virtual reality. God bless modern technology.
this standoffish cat has blessed me with her presence, and by that I mean she's been sleeping on the other end of my bed for about an hour. actually almost as paralyzing as cat-on-lap, I've been trying to stay still and not shake the bed. my feet have fallen asleep in this position, but she's so cute it's worth it so much floof and sleep twitching
yesterday one of my coworkers paged over our headsets "hey does anyone have any recommendations for something similar to Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe?" and i'm off like a shot like "me me is this recommendation in person or over the phone" because 1) i loved aristotle and dante and 2) i suspected that this was a Younge LGBT Personne and i was the only queer staff member working that shift and i do not trust The Straights, fond of them as i am, to recommend LGBT stuff properly and INDEED my dear straight mother of two coworker had had no idea what to do with her. bless her though she tried but ANYWAY i love love love that moment of relief and same-hat feeling that other young queer ladies sometimes get when it becomes clear that we're on the same team, and that they don't have to dance around the topic or watch someone awkwardly try to Be Cool About It WARM FUZZIES!!
I just made four REALLY NICE batches of chocolate agar which is a pain in the ass to make and for anyone who has never had to make chocolate agar for a microbiology class or hundred (seriously I've been doing this job fiiiive? years and I have always screwed up at some point in the process a little) all you need to know is it's REALLY. REALLY. JUST PAINFULLY WAY TOO EASY TO LEAVE IT OVER THE FLAME 0.00000001 SECOND TOO LONG AND RUIN IT FROM PERFECT but I did it for all four sets of plates I have 100 perfect chocolate agars yay I'm so proud of them :D
