I accidentally let a small lizard into the house, and instead of chasing it like I was afraid of, my dog just sat and stared at it, allowing me to find it and shoo it outside (it was the same color as my kitchen floor).
Not exactly "happy" but a great mood improver, I left a groupchat earlier to take a break from being mired in it all the time and feeling obligated to be part of that very negative mood and atmosphere 24/7 and man I just feel so much less stressed and pessimistic and shit already. ^^ (eta: groupchat completely unrelated to kintsugi, no worries of it being connected to anyone here)
Dinner has. SO MANY sauted onions. I am pleased. And trying to not just shove them in my mouth so quickly that they're gone.
Rewatching the entirety of Buffy The Vampire Slayer. And despite the dated special effects and the questionable acting, it is glorious. And it turns out I'm just as in love with it as I was when I was 10. Also Oz. Yes.
It's the Teals and Green theme. Most of the in-thread contents are a very pleasant spring green range.
The no-shadow world of early spring and early morning under a sky that has a lot to say for itself in the most elegant language it knows, its native language, homily cloaking the gospel of Space, uninterrupted by sun or blue. And I get to share it with my wife and daughter and they don't understand how amazing their world is anchored from here, as if the suburbs were something common, something imposed upon a somehow more virtuous wilderness. I've lived all my life in the city. This is magical.
Went to Big Lots hoping to find a cheap oil diffuser for the bedroom, found a super fancy big one that runs all night and lights up and changes colors for $20.
Today the usual bakery that delivers to the cafe in the library was closed for Easter, so they got a bunch of new stuff, including flower-shaped donuts, which were delicious. Then there was a carnival out on the green, with three varieties of bounce house, two rides, and music. I also pet 5 dogs.
