Went to take the bin out as dusk was falling and it smells amazing out there, that petrichor-damp smell, everything hazy-purple and glimmering in the street light. Had a small wander, said hello to the resident Aranea hanging from her pretty web in the pieris, swept a few snails to safety.
I love living in the future, where I can eat a chocolate (protein/meal) bar for breakfast and still get a reasonable amount of nutrition
Getting enough sleep in a comfortable bed with my husband because we finally had a might cool enough to make the bedroom a good temperature.

Protein bar breakfast is a sometimes thing-- do I feel like chewing today? Can I stomach anything else?-- but I do enjoy having the option. also that name sounds vaguely familiar... isn't he a sci-fi author?
he wrote the xanth novels! among other things, some of which i am almost certain were sci-fi, but that's what i remember him for (fantasy puntastic florida, oh how i love you)
