Therapist gave me POMEGRANATE. Sorta. Her office's neighbor has a tree, one branch went through a hole in the fence. Past few weeks I've been watching the pom grow and ripen. On our way out she pointed out how red it was, I mentioned it was splitting and she asked if I wanted to pick it so it wouldn't fall off and go to waste. I FUCKING LOVE POMEGRANATES.
A radio show is doing an all-day TMBG thing, and I've been tuned in pretty much since I woke up this morning, discussing it with friends and the girlfriend, and it's just really good and happymaking and I'm having a good time!
Desert Bus! Desert Bus! Deeeseeert Buuus! Besert Dus! Desert Bus, Desert Bus, Desert Bus! Desert Bus!
My life has turned out to be a poly pile found family fic, the kind that you stop reading because it uses way too many tropes. "No one actually wakes up to their boyfriend sleepily pulling them close in the night," you say "he's usually kind of sweaty," i reply "did he seriously just cry when he got invited to be part of the maccoills?" you ask "his real family is kind of shite. don't be so hard on him." i say in his defense. "so wait. she's ace, panro, poly, and gender questioning. he's trans, pan, and poly. and he discovered he's bi because of the two of them? you never see that many complicated sexualities in real life." "We have a game in my friend group called 'count the straights.' Its a big day when we get more than one." "He makes them dinner from scratch, he paints them landscapes and portraits of their pets, and she writes love poems in calligraphy? No. No, I refuse. No one actually does that shit." "Do too. Have done. Will continue to on the regular."
It's 55 long hours and my sibling got it free by hoarding Audible credits. And came into my room halfway through because they decided I Had to listen to a bit that was greatly enhanced by the voices the reader was doing.
55 hours... Perfect. I can knit so much while listening. It'll be great. And it's almost thanksgiving break! Sorry, husband, I'm gonna be preoccupied for the next several several days.
first class was cancelled today and a bunch of the students were hanging around complaining about how they stayed up sunday night to finish the project due, and i am quietly yet insufferably smug because for once i managed to conquer my procrastination and get it done saturday :D (now i'm on campus for several hours until my next class with no phone charger. pray for me)
AHAHAHAHA those asshole telemarketers who've been robocalling my cell phone for years got hit with a class-action lawsuit. I'll probably get a few bucks back, along with the happy knowledge that those jackasses actually had to pay for illegally pestering 7.8 million people.
this is the absolute best thing that's ever happened to me this is my cat now im keeping him i need the owners to sign over ownership right now immediately
Reread Pride and Prejudice. I hadn't exactly forgotten how much of an almighty snark goddess Jane Austen was, but the reminder sure made my day brighter.
