I applied for a job at a local coffee shop! It’s only about a mile from my house, too! (And I genuinely love the place, so I don’t have to bullshit my way through that aspect of the interview if I get an interview. :P)
successfully made a phone call to check in with someone about an appointment I made!! I was very anxious about doing it at first but then it went so quickly and easily which is a Big Relief
From Friday through today I have Attended a social function held in my father's memory, which required me to spend basically the week and a half prior planning in detail how to handle everything that might come up, but went absolutely great as a result and I'm really glad I did it. Went out to see a musical with my aunt the next day. Found out that a place I applied to over a month ago had actually just lost my membership application before anyone ever saw it, despite them brushing me off the first three or four times I contacted them to ask if everything was in order, and went in to fill out the application again and make sure it was entirely processed and done with before leaving this time. Made some decent progress on helping playtest a friend's game in between all those other things suddenly on my plate. can I sleep for a week now
Last night i ordered 2 post surgery compression vests because im not confident in how comfy the one from the surgeons office will be
Technically last night, but: I finished filling out a job application for a paid writer position on Tattered Weave and got it sent in! I got a confirmation email this morning, to let me know they'd received my application and that they'll be looking over all the applications at the end of the month. So now I just try and not psych myself out or do anything embarrassing where the staff can see, and hope I get picked.
Jeans etc are laundrying I washed my white shirt and took it in to get the sleeves hemmed and picked up my suit :3 Made an appointment for Monday for someone to basically help me fill out paperwork to get reimbursed for prescriptions because my executive functioning was not having it
Finally sent paperwork for reimbursement Scheduled a trip with a friend to go pick up a package at the border Edit: and just ordered prescription
Covered shower room in plastic in my best serial-killer fashion, went to the trade hardware place to get tools and solvent, stripped shower room wallpaper (or at least most of it), cleaned up and vacuumed, did dishes, emptied vacuum, took bin out, made Thai green curry for me and mum, and also gave the old woman a pedicure and nail treatment since she's struggling to do it herself, and entertained her with alcohol while dad gallivanted at a local lecture.
Booked part of time off for surgery adventure, sent email asking for clarification on booking the rest
Stripped rest of paper, sealed drags in lino, washed floors, vacuumed, sealed holes in plaster using an all-purpose filler, ordered groceries.
picked up packages, tried them on at the border store, one was too big so i sent it back to be exchanged Took care of a couple small work things
Got out of bed on time for work despite Overwhelming Travel Exhaustion Ate vegetables for lunch for the first time in over a week even tho I REALLY wanted sugary starch products
Got my room clean and presentable, so that it'll be ready for the showing tomorrow, and helped out with cleaning up the rest of the apartment! Including cleaning the microwave, which had...something happen to it that left rancid, gelatinous animal fat pooling under the plate. (I'm not sure I got the smell out completely, but I did what I could. If scrubbing it twice with dish soap, spraying the hell out of it with vinegar, and then wiping it down more thoroughly with more vinegar, before spraying it a third time and leaving it to air-dry don't remove the smell, then there's nothing to be done but throw the fucker out.)
