Called the exterminator. I didn't wanna have to, but I'm finding mouse poop on my kitchen counters and I can't let that go on.
got myself breakfast in the morning went to my morning seminar and said something that made sense talked to my sister and rescheduled a thing later in the day (which was a good idea) roasted a chicken and potatoes (edibly) responded to people socially in a decent manner, inc a worldbuilding thing requiring thought arranged to hang out w partner and did so, I think to mutual benefit read torrey peters' 'infect your friends and loved ones' in one zoned-in sitting and made notes on it and on two interviews she did about it, for book club sent uk trans library link in two trans discord servers wrote mod message realised (well. my partner pointed it out.) that the reason I feel so weird and wired is because I forgot my T today and yesterday, and did my T, and tried to take care of myself I don't feel like I've done a lot but that's a lot actually! :)! If I edit this later it will be to add laundry and hopefully dishes and kitchen tidying. If not that is okay. (Edit: some dishes and kitchen tidying done, laundry can be tomorrow.)
Solved a problem that in hindsight was the most obvious thing in the world. One of the issues we're having with our larp moving from facebook to discord is that discord invite links are kind of hard to share with strangers. Our facebook could be found from google, but no one uses facebook anymore, so we're slowly moving to discord for our announcements and casual communication. Trying to share a discord link with someone you have no social media in contact with is an exercise in frustration. A lot of the people who try our game don't have a facebook at all. I don't have a snapchat, and don't really know how to use instagram. I'm pretty good at navigating discord, but its add a friend feature is pretty clumsy if you aren't really familiar with it. The problem has been plaguing me since we made our official move over 4 months ago. It took me until today to figure out that I could turn our permanent invite link into a qr code and save that to my phone. We've been using qr codes for our facebook since like 2016. I'm a little embarrassed I didn't think of this sooner.
read a little for my lecture tomorrow, and got back up to date with my planning, and messaged somebody back to reschedule a conversation. I've been in a bit of a slump and this is progress. maybe I can eat something & get to bed by 2 :^)
emptied the dishwasher and washed some laundry, now i'm trying to connect the printer/scanner to my laptop so i can tackle more things tomorrow
Got my first COVID shot! Picked up medicine, bought food, tried sugar-free cookies (not great but better than suddenly going cold turkey off all sweet food).
Cleaned bathroom, and washed pillows and duvet and scrubbed down mattress because I was feverish during vaccine side effect period and sweated in them.
Called diabetes-prevention wellbeing service and set up appointment, started draft two of novella, did some fanfic, collected parcel, walked around the block, exercised with resistance bands, wrote vent journal, did dishes.
Not today exactly, but this week I have come out to my housing association and got my support worker to change my paperwork, committed to at least half an hour of exercise each day, had one in-person and one phone doctor's appointment, got my weight written down so I know what my goal percentage to drop is (eight kilos feels like a lot :( but I'm willing to try), learned to snap my fingers (not very well, but I couldn't at all before), discovered that peas and beans no longer make me throw up so I can work them into my diet, kept up with vent and gratitude journals, and got a decent way into a couple of books.
