Pacific Rim AU? Myrtha could be a labtech, either communications or Breach-physics or kaiju biology, with a fondness for skulls (someone probably got her a little scientific model of a Kaiju skeleton for a birthday, to her incredible delight.)

I can't see Lemi as a scientist but I absolutely can see her as doing some stupid shit because she wanted to see the Kaiju and got caught up in things.

I am trying to think of a Star Wars au but I can't decide which period it would take place it.

 

Ok Star Wars au: Sis was a Jedi Knight who a Sith was trying to make their apprentice, they went on and on showing her how the Republic was corrupt and the Jedi Order was wrong, standard Sith stuff, and then capped it off with telling her that oh by the way you have a baby sister and she's just been taken in by the Jedi. Instead of joining the Sith, though, Sis just took her sister and ran to the most remote planet she knew of, and raised Lemi herself while hiding from both the Jedi and the Sith.

 

Ooh, interesting. So would Lemi have been taught to distrust the Sith and the Jedi alike? Also, is Sis sort-of-wanted by the government for kidnapping a kid (after they kidnapped Lemi first...) and fleeing the Jedi?

 

Yeah Sis definitely raised Lemi to distrust probably all Force Wielders that aren't them. Maybe Sis is finally captured by the Jedi and Lemi ends up setting out to try and save her?

 

I feel like Myrtha is probably SOME kind of force-sensitive, but maybe her Dad was some kind of...deep space historian? going around in a shuttle finding artifacts and stuff.

Being around weird artifacts in creepy ruins almost definitely had an Effect on Myrtha. Maybe she could have met up with Lemi somewhere after her Dad stumbles upon on a artifact/map to wherever that jedi people want?
