Although it'd be kinda funny if we didn't know that everyone knows everyone else via some way.

(Ilmatar is in her fairy goth phase and has a lot of pictures of herself in that getup in appropriate places (forest, sea, ruins, her room, the roof, at school... and has them all on dA or some other image showoff site. She's also into occult shit and high fantasy, so she can be found in likeminded forums)

Ooh yes, let's do this thing! Okay, let's see. Leon's interests are fashion and rock music, so he can be found on websites relating to those; he also occasionally pops up on occult/horror websites asking about horror-related things, usually because Tia brought home something weird that he's curious about (what the fucking hell is this doll thing oh god), or because he needs a gift idea (hey does anyone know where I can get a full-size replica of a Xenomorph)

So, with Ilmatar he originally finds her asking about the origin of ... let's say one of those runic circle things? Does that sound good, Whimsy? Then he finds out she's into fairy goth which is a fashion style he hasn't seen around where he lives, which he thinks is cool. (Now I'm imagining him trying to help her put together outfits, oh no.)

Then Ilmatar buys a skull off Myrtha, Leon hears about it and thinks that's the best idea for a present he's ever heard, buys one too and presumably becomes friends with her.

Aaand I ran out of energy to do the rest, but I'll come back to this post later :P

Because, sounds good. If I put Ilmatar in S-H, she's from an area where there are Elder Futhark finds.

The reply is something along the lines of "The gods came from the north, and they brought magic with them, and mankind was afraid, for such was their power that mankind could not stand against them. Futhark the Elder and Futhark the Younger snuck to where the gods dwelled, covered in moss and leaves, and copied the runes while the gods were asleep. Futhark the Elder worked fast and precise and was out before dawn rose, but Futhark the Younger worked more slower, and had to hide in a chest lest he be discovered by the waking gods. The chest was carried up to the attic and locked, and it was many, many years until the lock rusted off and Futhark the Younger managed to escape, which is why there are two Futhark scripts.
Futhark the Elder returned to become the first and greatest of magicians, and he gave mankind the first script. This is why you need be careful when writing and reading runic script, for all words are magic."

This reply is, from a factual perspective, and even from a mythological one, completely and utterly wrong.

What's the time frame? (Ilmatar was a weeaboo at 13, forgot to mention. Teenagers have phases. Each and all are who they really are. (Fairy Goth still applies, but at that point in picture collection beginnings))

That's the one! Pfft. I like Ilmatar already. "Oh, hey, thanks, that's helpful. ... Out of curiosity, when you say 'you need to be careful', what kinds of things could happen? Hypothetically." (He later leaves the information in a note for Tia. Her next amateur project involves modern Nordic pagans.)

Hmm, around 13 sounds good. That'd make them friends for three years at the time of the game. At that point Leon would have been doing pop-punk-rock-emo (a la FOB).

I wonder if Ilmatar would have been able to get Leon into anime and whatnot, if he met her in her weaboo phase. Ohhh no I just realised he probably started a J-rock phase after that. What a trainwreck that would be.

Soo it turns out the house I had sketched did not actually made sense once I researched a little about the area where I wanted to put it. Also, chimneys do not belong partially outside the house.
I would've loved to have an actual geo location for the house, but western Schleswig-Holstein has a serious lack of trees, soo I'm going to handwave that a little.

Leon's symbol! In two line thicknesses, even. I'm not a huge fan of the thicker-lined one but Homestuck symbols tend to have bold outlines so :V

Okay, I know I literally just posted art like two posts ago but my exams are officially over so I made a thing. I also changed Leon's icon a bit to make it a bit less thin and delicate, and match the art-style better. Also Kathy that floor plan looks cool :O

    I....I tried.

Lemi hangs around on crytptozoology and creepypasta-type forums, obviously. She does watch some horror movies and anime (although she's probably more into horror manga on that count, like I think she'd like a lot of Junji Ito stuff, but she has watched stuff like Paranoia Agent.) Her taste in horror tends towards strange creatures and urban legends coming true type stuff. She has a deviantart full of photos of the woods, most of them fairy creepy and eerie. Her style tends towards stuff that looks weathered and old but kinda elegant or pretty. Also she 100% has a neopets account but she doesn't post in the forums.
    (Sorry this took so long)

Also, @KarrinBlue and @(Not) Literally A Bird, I'm just gonna go ahead and whip up house/apartment floorplans for you before we play, if that's cool?

@boyacrossthestreet for your kernelhome, I'm thinking that the atrium has a garden in it like Jade had, but the glass is all broken, and there's vines growing all over everything and out the windows and up the rest of the house. And the lower rooms are also overgrown wherever light can get in. Sound good?
