Anywho I killed Xavius last week and finished up the Suramar questline and I love every Nightfallen, all of them. I also got the Pathfinder part 1 achievement! PLEASE GIVE ME FLYING IN 7.1, BLIZZ, I'VE BEEN SO GOOD.
Aww I feel like I'm the only one who likes Malfurion x3 Although granted I did skip a great chunk when I used my character boost @ 60 so I doubtless missed bits of him being a dick. Also most peeps are on WRA now yes? Considering rerolling so I can be social and such.
At the end of the Well of Eternity heroic, he straight up tells Tyrande to "hush" and at that point my mild annoyance at this melodramatic fuck waking up and acting like Tyrande hadn't been holding the whole damn race together for FOREVER turned to Actual Hate. And I don't even like Tyrande that much! But don't tell the woman who has been doing the actual work of leading your people to HUSH, you fucking furry bastard. Still, nothing matches my indignation at Xe'ra aka "Illidan is my special boy who has done nothing wrong"

Xe'ra's a Naaru! It shows up in Legion after something something spoilers and then proceeds to give you quests regarding Illidan but frames them in a way that blames YOU and EVERYONE ELSE BUT ILLIDAN for all of Illidan's dumbass selfish actions over the course of his edgelord life. I went back to Black Temple and kicked him in the nuts for the 47th time just on principle.
and yes so much RAWR about stupid Xe'ra and Illidan like "oh hey actually we need this Well Intentioned Extremist dude who fucked up a lot because at least he wants to fight the same dudes we do" is fine! but fuck a whole bunch of "Illidan did nothing wrong" right in the earhole.
maybe Gul'dan will have managed to successfully corrupt him and we get to beat the shit out of him again and take his power and that's how he saves the day is by everyone getting super powers from beating him up. we can only hope.
YAY And speaking as someone who sort of mentally RPs when I do stuff, don't fuckin' tell me what my character is thinking or what my character's motivations were, Xe'ra. Maybe she didn't want to kill Illidan! Maybe she just felt sad about it instead of angry! MAYBE SHE DIDN'T DO IT AT ALL. Fuck you, you glowy dick, u don't kno me
I mean, I can say for 100% certain that Ellphu totally was down to kill Illidan. Ellphu would also be totally down to kill Xe'ra too though, and frankly like 90% of Azeroth's population because they're Worshiping The Light Wrong and she must destroy all nonbelievers. Trying to make Ellphu feel remorse is like spitting into the ocean, but I commend Xe'ra for trying in the most annoying way possible.

i'm not sure how many regular alliance players we have on Moon Guard, I think it's mostly MG-Horde/WrA-Alli. I mean I have a couple alliance on MG but I'm thinking pretty hard about transferring them to WrA. this is more a general impression than a rigorous census though so i may be wrong.
my main issue with the illidan/killing illidan in BT lore is that the overall BC story got a bit of a retcon in Legion. so now xe'ra gets to tell me how i did a big bad no no when in BC it was pretty clearly laid out for you that Illidan had gone mad and was cruel to the ashtongue and so on. then they put out the Illidan novel and try to suddenly pain the Ashtongue as Awful Meanies who just couldn't understand the grand scheme of things or something and we're all bad for beating Illidan up when he was doing the right thing or whatever. idk though the xe'ra quests don't really paint him well either. after doing the scenario quest at blackrook i was just irritated at this space windchime trying to make me empathize with some fucko who was sacrificing unwilling mages to fuel his own power to fight for the 'greater good' or whatever.
Yeah. You want me to sympathize with your villain? Show me why I should, don't just show him being a fuckhead and then LECTURE ME about it and TELL me I should sympathize.
