> sketch stalagmite, because the A Small Notebook deserves pretty scenery too You draw the stalagmite on the page facing the face. You don't manage to quiet capture the fact that it is definitely not glowing. The face actually smiled, even if it's still annoyed. >Look ball of light above head It emits light. The light is red. It appears to be following you.
>continue walking north-northeast Okay. The stalagmite is no longer visible. There is only darkness outside your circle of red light. >contemplate how you got here You honestly have no idea. The last thing you remember is staring out the window at a cat.
> try to remember what place the window was in It was... it was... in your third floor walk up. Right?
>look south-southwest for a definitely-not-a-glow The definitely not a glow is quietly pulsing, but you can't tell that it's a stalagmite from here. You know it is one, however.
> contemplate where you live You live on a third floor walk up. Or wait. You live in a small house in a suburb of a big city. No, definitely the third floor walk up. The life in the suburb was. It was.
>go back to stalagmite You return to the stalagmite. It is definitely not glowing. >try to cut stalagmite with knife This will not go anywh- A small chip of the stalagmite breaks off, though there is now a small nick in the knifeblade. You add "Not Glowing Rock" to your pockets. >throw rock in north-northeast direction There is the sound of a rock hitting a wall. It is more than twenty feet away. But possibly only barely. Good throw. >throw rock at red light You do not have a rock.
>find another rock You find another rock. This one is rougher, and vaguely cube shaped. It sparkles, not with anything unnatural, just because rocks do that sometimes. >go north-northeast There is a totally not glowing stalagmite to the south-southwest >follow wall You are not yet at the wall >Touch wall as you walk You are not yet at the wall
