    it's way easier to focus on things if you don't have to respond to them, which is how I can justify being able to focus better on things with crowd noises and non-english music as opposed to songs i know really well and just a few people talking

    Makes sense. I know it's also hard for me to process/retain anything if I try to input words from two sources at the same time.

    i've been told i was hypervigilant for the way i expect people to behave/react but it also makes me more sensitive to my surroundings :x
    i might not be understanding it correctly
