I would add one detail - a wall behind the control panel, like at the back of an airplane cockpit. It's got hella extra controls on it and shit. I'll google some ref images... Would that be okay to add? I know it's your char's ship, but I'd kinda like for there to be a little bit of a block b/t cockpit and other. Would also be an extra security feature if someone boarded. Could have a blast door and also function as an escape pod.

I love writing Gray piloting. It's such a rush.

 

also, for reference: the ship has no windows, because windows are a structural liability and also one more thing for the stealth systems to figure out how to cover. silly idea. this means that the last several minutes (probably 10 minutes or so from takeoff to Gray's announcement, with the crystal portion being 3-4 mins) have been mostly dark with alarms blaring/flashing, and everything has felt like it's not only moving very fast but also flipping around in pretty much every way you can imagine. just in case people want to know what they're reacting to. :D
