I'm game, Fae romance media (which Ivy would bring for illustration) is like game of thrones crossed over with day-time-tv soaps. It's hilarious, overly dramatic, everyone dates everyone and people run away to guatemala a week before their formal groveing.

 

That sounds hilarious, we have to have this class.

Umm hello not sure if right thread but

I'd like to rp.
I have enough time (like 4-9pm central time)
I know absolutely nothing about the universe you rp in, nor do I have a character/persona to use...
If there is someone who doesnt mind walking me through this (I have rped and made characters before, but the universe and world stuff is new..)
I would be very grateful.

Also if this is in the wrong thread I'm super sorry and you can tell me and I will put it in there. O~O

well the important worldbuilding stuff is in the infodump thread, the character profiles are in the character profile thread, new wordlbuilding stuff and general discussion of things ends up in the main thread
otherwise this is just kinda spontaneous fun and stuff? we haven't yet done much planning except maybe some fun things we wanna do in the future so basically just... make up your character (can be as wish fulfilment-y and magic/science blendy as you want we are doing lotsa sci-fi and fantasy mix) and come play? the nature of forum play means we can leave rps mid thread and pick them up again the next day so even if we don't have convenient schedules we can work stuff out :3

 

We're RPing a space colony with whatever kind of character we want. You can do a self-insert or not. If you have your character come from someplace different from everybody else (not hard, we have a lot like that), you can pretty much make up whatever you want.

The short version of our universe is something like this:

• We're in a fenced-in dome of atmosphere on an airless moon called Kintsugi
• We have magic defenses called the Great Wall of Nope
• The Tumblrtopian empire is a bad place but it isn't Kintsugi
• Most of the Kintsugi solar system is unexplored
• The Kintsugi space colony is a space utopia where we fend off alien invasions with the power of respect and also ancient eldritch magic
• You can play any kind of creature and say your character is from anywhere you want.
• (Right now we have an elf, a pony, a shapeshifting tentacle monster, a shapeshifting cat boy, an artificail intelligence that founded the colony and married the colony's other founder, um, I'm not sure who else. More aliens? A star? Something like that.)
• There might be a space expedition soon. You can be part of it.
• If there's an open rp you can just show up.

It's ok if you can't read all the way through the main thread. Speaking of the main thread I would maybe have put this post there but it's fine here, I think? IDK, I'm pretty new to rping.

 

So I haven't done any rping in a very long time. I'll be having a spaceship come down with a ton of packages, haven't done that post yet. If anyone has any requests that wouldn't fit in a box let me know? otherwise, if it can fit in a box i'm just going to say i have a bunch of boxes and anyone who wants to can claim one and then say whats in it. I was thinking of having my character just set up a folding table with a bunch of boxes to grab.

 

"Who would have ordered three dozen syringes and a box of knockoff girl scout cookies? ...wait, never mind, dumb question. Scheherazade, your package is here." (Which is to say, I'll probably be dropping by.)

 

there are several boxes marked for the radio station. do not open them. i repeat, do not open them.

(hey this is in the Kintsugi in space rp right? my character is supposed to come to kintsugi hidden away on a space ship. i dont want to take over your parcel theme, but htis would be really conveniant)

 

It's been a long time since I last roleplayed;
most of my partners just quit.
Well, they quit roleplaying with me, but rp with other people. >_>
Either that, or they only want to rp smut, and I like doing other things.

I don't.. have any traditional OC's, unfortunately.
All of my children come from video games or some such.
Don't know if that would be acceptable.

Like.. I have my Tenno from Warframe,
and my Inquisitor from Dragon Age,
and then I have a Gemsona,
which would be fun for a space RP, I guess?

I dunno; I'm nervous.

That would be fine, I figured having someone flying in supplies and such every so often would be convenient for new members arriving.
