So, in case anybody hasn't heard, Steam recently did an update! And that messed up some peoples' games, so Toby put out a patch to fix it. The patch had some other sneaky things in it. Some bits of conversation, adjustments to some monster stats, a revamp of the fun/Fun value... Things of special note: The fun/Fun events no longer need to be capitalized! There is now a chance of meeting any of the G----- people with a regular, not-edited game. One step closer to being canon. Another thing, of particular interest to me as a Papyrus player: if you break off a geno run in Papyrus' fight, go on his friendship hangout, and check out the box of bones in his room? He says a new, interesting thing. Spoiler: Images for image lovers Now, admittedly, in a normal/pacifist run, the dog still steals the attack in the combat, and it still just looks like a bone. But Papyrus still has that one message that says *Papyrus prepares a non-bone attack and then spends a minute fixing his mistake. Basically, I just really like that one comic Zarla made.
well I accidentally misspelled Undertale while trying to Google something and I put in Undertail by accident. Which is apparently...get this...an entire section of the Internet devoted to Rule 34'ing Undertale. My thoughts on the subject are this.
I have a secret sideblog devoted to reblogging #Undertail stuff. There's some really creative skeleton fucking out there, and I salute those who provide free porn to people like me. :') I do have to say, kudos to Toby Fox dor being in tune with fandom culture, and tweeting an early request for us to use Undertail for the porn stuff. It helps us avoid putting stuff in the undertale tag, when we have a basically official tag.
I mean, I'm glad I hadn't encountered the skeleton porn in the regular Undertale section of the Internet, but I'm just kind of sad that it exists at all. But yeah, keeping it separate is a good idea. And I'm not saying it's not creative, I just have no desire to see...that ever again.
Did you want official Undertale merch? I really like the Mercy shirt, I'm glad to see that set of major arcana cards is official art now, and hey, Papyrus wears black tights, confirmed! I am a little disappointed to give up on my image of him running around half naked.
...the Sans model is an inaction figure. gdi also I wish those cards were legit tarot cards, I really like the back design. plus fandom tarot almost never goes into minor arcana, for Undertale I feel like you could do, I dunno. spears for swords, bones for wands? maybe gears for pentacles, I have no idea but I'd buy a deck like that in an instant
@Lambda I got a Welcome to Night Vale tarot deck for christmas, and I've had the Homestuck tarot deck since the HS Kickstarter - both of those have the minor arcana, and they're both gorgeous. I also backed the Pacific Rim tarot kickstarter, but it got shipped to my parents' house 'cause I mistakenly thought it would be shipping over winter break and I thus put my parents' house as my shipping address. (It shipped last week.) I'm like 95% sure that deck also includes the minor arcana, though. I do wish the Undertale tarot cards included the minor arcana... but honestly I love the art so much I'll probably buy the major arcana anyways.
@garden those slipped my mind, I was thinking about unofficial fandom tarot I've seen, like people's art projects (also there's this gorgeous pokemon deck, but only major, sigh). getting a Night Vale deck would be cool too, but I'm not made of money *^* there was a tumblr post about matching undertale characters and major arcana too, but I doubt I can find the links rn, it was really good tho
Toriel's my favorite of the characters, I got pinged when the plushie was up for sale and pretty much threw my money at the screen for my precious favorite.
Something I noticed over in @Wiwaxia 's undertale liveblog thread: The colors of those quiz show disco lights seem awfully familiar, Toby.
